*Action 2b2* – maintaining good habits that aide EMOTIONAL wellness during this lockdown
What you think about today, you will feel tomorrow. Your MIND is the gate to your emotions. You keep your mind healthy and your thoughts in check, you have dealt with about 90% of your emotions.
The 10% is what I call
“life happens” (COVID19 case in point). It is what it is…
Emotions can be like a “wild dog”, they need to be trained, and occasionally put on a leash… Yes you heard me right??
Equally emotions can be like a bright rainbow? filling our lives with much color, beauty and pleasure
During this lockdown invest in activities that will safe guard your emotional well-being. COVID19 will pass, it must not pass with you…
✅Not every emotion must be acted upon immediately
✅ If a negative emotion persist (anxiety, fear, depression etc) find someone you can talk to, don’t bottle it in
✅ Censure the news you expose yourself to, you don’t have to hear every negative story that is reported
✅ Control your social media activities don’t let them control you
✅ Focus on activities/thoughts /conversations that make you feel good and hopeful…
✅ Have boundaries and don’t apologize for them…
*pay close attention to how your emotions change with the thoughts you CHOOSE…there will be challenges, heartbreak and deep losses through life… We have to decide right now, before we face what is to come, how we are going to react to these incidents* from the book “Empower yourself” by John Martin
